church of saint bearer

Saint Bearer app screenshotThis web app, which I designed and developed to support the Orlando Fringe Festival show of the same name, was made with Adobe Animate CC to meet a quick-turnaround need for a mobile-first experience that works across all devices.

The design attempts to capture the feeling and style of the play’s special take on the zombie apocalypse while clearly conveying essential information about the show’s schedule, ticket access, cast, and location for its festival performances.

In the show, a “catastrophic blend” is a terrifying mixing of realities that permeates the story that plays out on stage. That concept inspired designs for the app’s page transitions user interface elements.

About Mike

I’m a technical project director for interactive installations, themed entertainment, and immersive experiences. I get to work with brilliant people making incredible things at intimidating scale.

I’m also an independent writer and designer, a university educator, and a creator of bespoke interactive nonsense at large. I’m nearly always working on an immersive theater production, a location-based mobile game, or a concepty text adventure.

I’ve spent my whole life working and playing in immersive worlds, both digital and physical. I play, I learn, I build, and then I share what I can with my students.
